How to Win, on Tanglewood Way

Tanglewood Way. It might not be the Hardest or Easiest to get a Gold Medal on, but it can be very rewarding.

The Point of Grub Guardian is Either to win and earn Items or Pet Experience. On Certain Levels though, it’s always more rewarding to go for the items as you can win energy elixirs and card packs. Tanglewood Way just happens to be one of those levels.

So I’ve made a Video Guide to Help you on your way to winning this level.

Let’s Go Over all of what I used in the Level:

  • 1 Epic Life Pet,
  • 3 Maxed out Myth Towers (Medusa), and
  • 1 Sun Tower Level 4.
Grub guardian rewards

Rewards include elixirs and the Dragon Hoard’s Pack.

    i do it with two avalon towers, stag level, and one sun, platypus level. higher score that way i think.

    you can get energy elixir gold boost elixir and xp boost elixir.You even can get raven hoard pack and nightmare hoard pack if you are lucky enough.

    I have found this map also drops Moolinda’s Green Thumb Pack. Gold medal is not required for the drop.

    Is there any maps you don’t have to buy that drop good items? (If not i’ll just buy the map pack)

    I always Find that most things in Wizard that Give the Most Don’t Cost the most.
    Like Grubb Guardian you’re going to get more out of it then other things, Just like Magma Peas.

    So are the good drops (Packs, elixirs, etc;) common on this map? Or are they extremely rare and dropped after hours of grinding… Not sure if it’s worth the crowns, dunno. Also, do I need a high level life pet? It just so happens that I don’t have any life pets past teen -__-.

      1-8 Tries you’ll usually get Energy Elixirs or Card Packs.
      I could be out on the town turn my phone on and win stuff, while I wait for someone or something.
      Then later log in and Renew it all sure not every time you’ll get them but it does pay for itself, which makes Grubb Guardian well worth the play.

      Its a bit rare to get packs its about i got 3 packs per twenty matches, and i use ancient life cupig but you could buy life tower but then its a bit harder to get gold.

    I think that you should buy azteca levels. I know that wysteria provides energy elixers but Azteca salt meadow swamp is easy, and I have gotten ravens, wyverns, nightmare emperors attic, some elixers for damage and gold and ex boost, and of course gold, and All I did was use the Avalon guardian, and Ice guardian to get good

      Lol alto alto is easy to get gold, elixers, and packs so use alto alto instead of swamp

  • Why ever do you need a Sun Tower? I also use an Epic Life, but 4 Myth Medusa towers instead -_-

      I use an Ancient Balance pet. Usually have 8-10 dishes of grub left, still get good stuff. I got an Energy Elixir from silver medal here, worth paying for the map.

    what is the best tower to buy?

    • Depends. What Map/Map Packs are you going for? The Avalon Guardian is good for Azteca. The Star Tower is good for Wysteria. The Moon Tower is key to beating Castle Avalon.

    Could someone help me out with my Ancient Death pet? I’ve tried so many combos, but none work.

    • You’re trying an Ancient Death on this map? Not recommended. Take a few days to train a Life to Adult at least, I’ve seen Gold Guides for Tanglewood using an Adult Life, 4 Epic Medusas and a few Ice Towers.

        • Not that I heard of. With one day’s worth of energy, you can train a Life to Teen, no snacks. Buy a few snacks or use a few dropped snacks, don’t sell them, and train the life to adult. Simple as that.

  • Would this work with an Ancient Balance Pet? I’m almost at Epic if that matters.

    • I’ve seen and effectively used a Balance Ancient pet, Epic would be better for this map. It’s just a bit slower and more towers to place, so Epic Life is generally better.

      • thanks 🙂 I’ll try to train up a Life pet just in case my balance doesn’t work out.

    Guys, just use 2 rank 4 star guardians, and a epic or mega fire or myth pet. Really works with Pegasus place map. Plus you get tons of energy elixirs and gold. Just place the star guys each on one lampost on the pegasus place map and place your pet above them. All the star guardians and wysteria map pack cost is 1000 crowns.
